I’ll admit it … I’m a relatively new Whovian, and I’m not caught up on the series even remotely … but I’m totally hooked! So when one of my awesome customers showed me this set she’d found from Kindred Stamps, I dived right in and arranged a group buy (and then another), and when they opened wholesale accounts I applied straight away!!! I’m so excited to be the exclusive Australian stockist for Kindred Stamps … they specialise in fandom stamps, and that makes me outrageously happy!
So … you may have seen me make this 3 tier slide out card in the 12×12 cardstock 7 part video series (which featured Sweet Stamp Shop’s Harry Potter themed stamp sets). It was so much fun I made another one! There are a few things you need to know about making these cards … they’re addictive, it’s best to make it all in one sitting so you don’t get mixed around with the parts, and you can find a project sheet with all the measurements when you CLICK HERE. If you missed the first video you can see that HERE, as I show more of the cutting than I do in this video.
I kept the colouring for the daleks very simple, no shading at all, just single colour. I did add some black glaze pen to the centre of their spinning blades, and a white gel pen highlight to their ‘eye’ lights, while referring to the show for their colour combinations. But if you want to make pink daleks, or green or orange … go right ahead 😀 My other favourite thing about this set is the teensy accessories for the Doctor. I have used the regular tie, but you could also use the bow tie and add a fez if you so wish 😀 I also turned his shoes into sneakers by drawing in additional lines with a 0.3 black multiliner.
