All-over Tilt – Bork video series, Day 6

Bork, Ink Road Stamps, video series, Australia

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to Day 6 of this seven part video series!  Yesterday I played with a very neat and tidy ransom-style text placement.  If you missed that video, you can check it out HERE.

All week I will be featuring the adorable Bork stamp set by Ink Road Stamps, showing different techniques and ideas to get the most from this flexible stamp set.

In today’s video I’m going to show you how I created an all-over stamped background and added a lot of interest with very few supplies.

LESSON 6 – Who says that everything needs to be lined up straight with perfect borders?  Sure, straight lines are very pleasing to the eye, but sometimes a simple tilt can bring unexpected visual delight.

The first thing I did was place my tilted panel on the card front so I could be sure that my focal point puppy would be straight.

The second discovery I made is that it’s easier to trim the cardstock down before adding the adhesive.  I also prefer the sentiment popped up with foam tape than stuck down flat with regular double sided tape.

Ink Road Stamps – Bork + Compliments Volume 2
Tonic Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform
Tonic Tim Holtz Guillotine
Ranger Archial Jet Black ink pad
A5 coloured cardstock
A6 white cardstock + scrap (for sentiment)
Green cardstock scrap
Acrylic block
Green ink pad (I used Stampin’ Up Pear Pizzazz)
Double sided tape 3mm
Double sided foam tape 12mm

This tilted panel technique is simple, effective, and instead of all-over stamping you could use pattern paper (surely I am not the only one with a pattern paper stash that will last me three lifetimes!!?? LOL).

I do hope you have enjoyed this video series, and come away with some ideas that you can use to stretch your stamp sets further.
