Zero Waste
One of my pet peeves with papercrafting is the amount of wasted paper and cardstock some projects create. Last year I designed the No-Waste Card Base Cutting Guide as part of the All Occasion Cards on Time box. It is now available individually in the shop, and it is designed specifically for Australian card makers who use A4 cardstock (there’s a little 12″ x 12″ section in there too for the scrapbookers). A fun bonus is the QR code inside the front cover which takes you to a video that showcases the cutting method for the 20 different cuts and folds in this guide.
So, when Altenew came out with their Zero-Waste range, I was immediately on board. Use the fall-out sections, sure, but you can also use the negative space … 2 cards from one piece of cardstock!
I really hope more companies get on board with the zero waste trend! Altenew has several options, all of which are stunning. How will you choose?!

Pictured here are the Zero Waste Leaf Pattern die set by Altenew. They have a few in that range, but this one really does pack the foliage in there tight!
Also, the No-Waste Card Base Cutting Guide, specifically designed for A4 and 12×12 cardstock, designed by … me!
Check the blog tomorrow for my eleventh crafty gift suggestion.
