Watercolour
You don’t need to be a watercolour artist to enjoy watercolour products. There are some amazing watercolour paint palettes, but you can also use your Distress Inks (and Distress Oxides) to colour your stamps … just smoosh it out on a glass mat, acrylic block or plastic sheet, and pick up with a damp brush (or aqua brush) … and paint! It is important to use a watercolour paper to get the best results. Hot pressed is smooth and cold pressed is textured (I remember it like when I’m cold I get goosebumps … cold = bumpy!). And if you’re colouring stamped images, it’s important to stamp using a waterproof ink pad. I use Ranger Archival Jet Black ink pad for my stamped watercolour projects.
There are a number of companies making excellent watercolour products, including Altenew, Crafter’s Companion, Tim Holtz Distress, Derwent and Uniquely Creative
