The BetterPress Letterpress System by Spellbinders changed the game when it comes to debossing. It’s affordable and incredibly easy to use, and in incredibly innovative way to achieve the elegant look of letterpress technique with ease. An easy-to-use system to produce a professional stationery style with detailed impressions that can be felt to the touch. Designed to be used with Platinum or Platinum 6 Die-Cutting & Embossing Machine and is compatible with many other die cutting machines, including the Sizzix Big Shot.
Press Plates have proven to be more versatile than originally thought, as you can use them as hot foil plates. You can also use press plates with a silicone mat in your die-cut machine to get an impression, even if you don’t have a BetterPress. Press Plates are not only more detailed that hot foil plates, but they’re more versatile (you can’t letterpress with a hot foil plate), and many companies are ditching hot foil plates in favour of press plates.
Some great companies are creating Press Plates, like Spellbinders, Altenew, Pinkfresh Studio & Hero Arts.
The set includes Chase (magnetic platform to hold the press plate) and 2 Shims, Platen (clear top plate), BetterPress Press Plates, BetterPress Black Mini Ink Pad, BetterPress Cotton Card Panels (15 A2 Panels
– Five Each in Three Colours of Porcelain, Bisque and Pebble), and Best Ever Craft Tape 5/8 in. x 5 yds (180 inch).
