Cutting Tools
A paper trimmer is one of the most basic tools, closely followed by a good pair of fine-tipped scissors for fussy cutting. Did you know that there are 3 different types of trimmer? True story!
Guillotine
Rotary
Sliding Blade
Each of these offers different functionality, and I’ll be honest, I have at least one of each! I will defend myself by saying that I do, in fact, use them all, just in case you were wondering.
If you would like to learn more about about these trimmers, and what they have on offer, I actually have a podcast episode about that. You can listen to Episode 4 of The Craft Room Podcast HERE, or on your favourite podcast app.
There are a number of companies making excellent cutting tools, including Tonic/Tim Holtz, Fiskars, Altenew and Gina K Designs.
The trimmer featured here is the Tonic Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine 12.25″ If you love the 8.5″ guillotine trimmer, but want to cut down larger sheets of card or paper, this could be the solution you’ve been looking for.
