There are times when you don’t need a full size greeting card when giving a gift … Christmas, for example! But apparently on birthdays you can’t just write the persons name on the wrapping paper with a Sharpie marker, but if they’re just going to rip the gift open and not even look at the card, you kind of need a middle ground … enter the birthday gift tag!
So, today I’m showcasing the gorgeous ‘Peekaboo Cats’ and one of my favourite greeting sets ‘Just The Basics’ from Sweet Stamp Shop to create a variety of gift tags for all occasions. This is a project that you can batch-make, and you could even decorate, but leave them blank so you can add an appropriate greeting as you need them!
Making tags is a really fun stashbuster, so dig into your scrap cardstock and pattern paper for the base, and perhaps use some older embellishments that you aren’t quite so in love with anymore. Remember that roll of ribbon you bought because the whole thing was on sale, but now you have 18m of it? Use that!!! Remember how you were totally into buttons, so you bought every multipack on 30% off everything day at Spotlight? Use those!!! So … here’s a list of all the materials I used for this project, but keep in mind that you can substitute in anything you have in your stash.
