I have a really big announcement

I have a really big announcement to make, and there’s a link to the video announcement below.

After 11 wonderful years, I’ve decided it’s time to close the shop.

I appreciate that this is probably going to come as a shock to most of you … I confess that it surprised me too. It’s not the decision I expected to make, nor have I made it lightly, but it is the right decision … and I know it’s the right decision because I feel at peace with it.

Over the past few years my health has taken some big hits, and last week my GP gave me quite the reality check. Combined with this phase of life where I have adult kids and an ageing parent who need me in new and different ways, as well as economic considerations … last week things got very real, very fast. Lists were written. Important conversations were had. Options were considered. The decision was made.

It has been my privilege, and my very great pleasure, to serve the crafting community by way of retail therapy, and it’s ok to be sad … it’s the end of an era. BUT … it’s also the start of something new, there are going to be some big bargains, and that is something to be happy about!

Just because I’m stepping back from retail doesn’t mean that I’m disappearing. Y’all aren’t getting rid of me that easily! I adore you all far too much to just walk away completely. I’m actually excited to free up time to do stuff I love, but never have time for, like …

* Recording podcast episodes.
* Creating classes and courses.
* Catching up on membership content.
* Getting my Summit projects submitted on time.
* Live crafting days.
* Volunteer work
* … and do some actual card making! Maybe I’ll finish the Mario quilt!

Before I tell you what’s next, I want to say this…

Thank you.

Thank you for choosing to shop with me.
Thank you for your kindness and incredible support.
I kind of fell into this little business by accident, and I’m so incredibly grateful to those who saw what I was trying to do, and jumped on board.
I appreciate you all.

So … what next?

The last day for shopping will be Sunday 31st August 2025, so you have 2 months to pick up those goodies you’ve always wanted. For the next week, prices will remain as they are, and I’ll begin dropping prices from Monday 7th July, with a few exceptions. I placed a couple of orders week before last, so those items plus new releases will be full price for longer. There are contracts. It’s a whole ‘thing’.

Now is the time where YOU get to make difficult decisions. Do you grab it now, or do you wait for a lower price and potentially miss out?

I have added a wish list feature to the shop to help you shop efficiently and effectively. My best advice is to go through your stash, as I cannot accept returns for accidental double-ups. Prioritise those retired items you’ve had your heart set on for a while, and if you are on the fence about any purchase, you can always play Rule of Three.

For my international peeps, if you spot an item that’s been on your wish list, please email me your shopping list. I will be happy to send shipping options, and remind you that while international shipping is expensive, the Aussie dollar is low.

For those who have submitted pre-orders, have items on hold or current lay-bys, I will be in touch over the coming days. Same goes for folks who have gift certificates or store credits they’ve yet to spend.

Of course, I will be sending emails, and making videos, but if you can tell your card making friends & Facebook groups (if they allow that sort of thing) about the shop closing and upcoming price reductions, I would be ever so grateful. There are a LOT of goodies in my office, and I would much prefer them to go to happy crafty homes than sit in a box in my garage, gathering dust. The closer it gets to closing day, the lower prices will go.

Thank you for sticking around for a long announcement. I know it’s a lot to take in, and I’m sure a lot of you will have questions. I will probably unpack it all in a podcast episode one day. But for now, head to the shop, grab a bargain, and celebrate with me as we say goodbye to the shop.

Happy crafting, and happy shopping!

Dawn ❤️

    Hugs, for having to make such a big decision. But I give you a virtual HIGH FIVE for being brave to make it. You have to be good to yourself so that you can continue to do stuff for others. I have had to learn this lesson as well.
    Looking forward to getting some items I have been searching for.
