KennyK Birthday Blog Hop

Seriously … where do years go?  And why do they move faster the older you get?  At least there is cake … right?!  In this case it’s not my birthday, it’s Kenny’s birthday!!!  Personally I refuse to believe he’s the big FIVE-O … but my sources seem pretty credible, so I’m just going to roll with it.

Kenny is 50

For my card I dug deep … very deep … into my stash.  I have used Techno Guy (you can find him HERE) … in fact, I printed 2 identical images.  The first was inked all over with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The second was spritzed all over using Dylusions teal & red spray dye inks.  I fussy cut the first image, and then fussy cut the jacket and shoes of the second image and stuck it over the top for a pop of crazy colour & pattern.  I dug into my quick greeting box (see video HERE) for a brown-ink stamped birthday greeting (Darkroom Door, All Occasions).  I cut the 50 using my Bounce Sizzix sizzlet set.  There’s a whole lot of layering going on including red and dark brown cardstock, a strip of pattern paper, velvet ribbon, twill ribbon, washi tape and some foam tape.  The pattern paper is super old … no idea where I even got it from LOL.  See … what I love about masculine cards is that they can be super simple to create!

NOW … I did mention a blog hop.  I am #3 … so you should have come to me from Regan’s blog.  If not, there’s a map below so you can find your way around.  Next stop is the lovely Annette!  Make sure you get to the KennyK’s Krafy Krew blog and leave Kenny some awesome birthday wishes … there’s a prize in it folks … so hop, hop, hop!
