KennyK Stamps – Christmas in July

Dawn Lewis shows you how to colour this KennyK Stamps angel with Copic markers, and make this cheeky card. Looking for Copic in Australia? www.dawnlewis.com.au

Sharing is caring!

I’m no stranger to Christmas in July.  Here in Australia it’s always stinking hot at Christmas, so when I had an opportunity to jump on a Christmas in July celebration in the Blue Mountains one year, I did!  All those traditional Christmas fares were so much fun with friends, in the freezing cold, around a roaring fire.  These days I’m working on Christmas projects for magazines at this time of year, and it’s kind of nice being able to make Christmas stuff when it’s actually cold and I’m all snuggled up inside my warm living room.  And so, it came as pure delight to me when KennyK Stamps released this beautiful trio of Christmas angels this week, with a challenge to match … Anything Goes With A Twist – Christmas in July.

For my card today I have used ‘Aurora’ … isn’t she lovely!  She’s part of a great bundle deal at the moment (CLICK HERE)

So … let me walk you through the construction of this cheeky card.

I started in Photoshop (you could use another program for sure, I just always have Photoshop open), and created a document 6″ x 6″.  I dropped the Aurora image in the centre, making it approximately 4.5″ wide from wing tip to wing tip.  I added the text using a fot called MA Sexy “I’d tell you what I want for Christmas, but I’d end up on the naughty list”, and split the lines of text above and below the image.  Then print … simple as that.
