Little Miss Muffet Challenge – Let’s Get Stitched

This weeks challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps is ‘Let’s Get Stitched’.  This week I am using Candy Floss Crew Bailey (you can find her HERE).  I have printed her out BIG!  This coloured image on it’s green base could easily be removed from the card and used as a giant bookmark!

Stitched up 1

It’s pretty obvious that I stitched around the border of my coloured image, but there is a little embroidery on there as well.  Can you see it?  Perhaps a closeup will help …

Stitched up 2

I stitched french knots on the border of her jacket, and I also stitched over the laces.  My best tip for hand stitching on cardstock is to punch the holes before you sew.  A mouse pad over your cutting mat makes a great base, and you can punch holes with a pin, a needle or an awl.

Copic Colours … I didn’t write as I went, but I can tell you that I only used lots of 3.  Skin is E50’s, Yellows are Y20’s, Greens are G20’s, Mauves are V90’s, boots are Cool greys, with a touch of B000 on the eyes.
