Lawn Fawn – Love you a Latte card

I finally got to crack open some of my own new Lawn Fawn goodies, and made this quick and cute card

Lawn Fawn Card Latte

For this project I used some leftover Kaisercraft pattern paper and a 10x10cm square of white bazzil.

First, I stamped the mug, plate & spoon images onto XPress It Blending Card using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Next I used 2 tones of each Copic colour to colour each element.
Red: R15 & R17
Brown: E31 & E34
Grey/silver: C2 & C4

Next I placed the dies over each of the coloured images, and ran them through my die-cut machine, using a small piece of washi tape to hold the dies in place.

For the border around the white cardstock, I used the largest stitched scallop die.  Cut one edge, then line up the next edge so that the highest points of the scallops meet, and cut again.  I’ll admit it  … I messed up the last edge, so I improvised and placed it on the left fold of the card.  Let’s call it a “design feature”.

Next, stamp the “Love you a latte” greeting at the top centre of the white cardstock (I used Ranger Archival black ink).  Then use a little strong adhesive to adhere the cut & coloured images below so that it looks like the greeting is like steam rising out of the mug.

Finally, cover the front of your card base with pattern paper (this is a piece of Kaisercraft leftover from a previous project), add the white scalloped edge piece with it’s lovely embellishments … and voila … one finished card!!!

If you are in Australia, and looking for some Lawn Fawn goodies, I am super proud to be stocking them in my online store.  If there is a stamp or die set that you would love to own, but isn’t in my store, please just ask and I will be happy to order it in for you 🙂  Yes … prices are a little higher than the USA shop, but when you take into account converting to Aussie dollars, and how cheap it is to post within Australia, they’re totally comparative 😀
